H. Bröring GmbH & co.KG is one of the three compound feed plants that are part of Bröring Unternehmensgruppe. These companies have bundled their expertise in order to prepare for the future demands and requirements of compound feed production. H. Bröring GmbH & co.KG planned to install new acid and enzyme dosing installations at the new production site in Löningen.
Acid dosing installation
H. Bröring GmbH & co.KG use Ruberg mixers in the plant. A feature of these mixers is that liquids are dosed using a spray lance at the base of the mixer. This means it is not possible to regulate the dosing rate using a liquid dispenser with selector valves. This necessitated opting for a dosing installation that uses water as a carrier. Mixing the acid with water ensures there is always a uniform flow rate in the spray lance and that the liquid is distributed correctly.
Enzyme dosing installation
The enzymes are dosed on the mixer and on the coaters. For enzyme dosing, an installation similar to the acid dosing installation was chosen. However, due to the wide range of dosing rates, selector valves [YvdV1] have been placed in the dosing sets to regulate the dosing time. The dosing installations for the mixer and coaters were constructed separately. As dosing takes place on three coating lines, a dosing installation with pressure system was chosen. This allows a single pump set to supply all three coaters with enzymes. A combined ICB set-up, with three removable spill containment trays underneath the ICBs, was built to store the enzymes. The dosing sets of all the dosing installations have been mounted in Rittal housing to eliminate dust from the system.
